National Lampoon's Vacation, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Sideways, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Blues Brothers - undeniably all titles of movies that celebrate the act of road tripping. It's a tradition for most families, a requirement for those who respect his/her solitude, and the best excuse to just hit the road with no destination in mind.
